ZAGG, the company that brought us InvisibleShield, that almost indestructible clear film that protects our gadgets from scratches, has released the latest in its line of keyboards for tablets and smartphones.
Dubbed the ZAGGkeys FLEX keyboard, it’s a stylish Bluetooth keyboard combined with a stand for your magical tablet, iPhone or one of those “other” devices you may have.
If you use an iPad or other tablet (really?) then you’re invited to take the Summer International iPad/Tablet Survey conducted by the Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute at the University of Missouri.
“What makes this survey different is that we are recruiting participants internationally and including users of all media tablets, not just the iPad. The focus is on user behaviors and preferences with regard to news consumption on media tablets. Our goal is to get more than 3,000 participants,” says Roger Fidler, program director for digital publishing at the Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute.
This survey contains 22 questions and should not take more than 15 minutes of your time to complete. The only requirement is that you currently own or use an iPad or comparable (sic) media tablet. Your responses will remain completely anonymous. This survey is available online through September.
Back in August, Verizon demoed live and VOD TV on an iPad which got us even more excited about our fast connection to the interwebs and great HD TV service.
Today, they’ve made available Verizon FiOS Mobile for iPad. The only problem?
There’s no video to be found. Anywhere.
Chargers, in general, are power-sucking beasts, no matter what their size. Even when not charging your gadgets, if they’re left plugged into an outlet they’re drawing power. To solve this vampiric problem, many people resort to using a power strip for their chargers so that they can flip a switch and turn off the the unnecessary drain on their wallets and the environment.
The VogDuo Green Wall Charger solves the same problem without the manual switch, but with a timer.
Apple’s own iPad Camera Connection Kit comes with two dongles to transfer your photos and videos using USB or an SD card. This one combines those capabilities into a single dongle and adds microSD support to boot. That’s nice and all, but neither compares to this over-engineered marvel.
Old school Apple fans will remember the Apple Newton: Apple’s way-before-its-time PDA with some revolutionary features that would have taken the business world by storm had portable computing power not held it back.
One of its most-loved features was the ability to convert handwritten notes into text and to turn your squiggly circles, squares and rectangles into the perfect versions you wish you could draw. The text-conversion process was never completely accurate, resulting in many jokes at the Newton’s expense. The release of PhatPad from Phatware however, may help Apple achieve some feeling of vindication. Be sure to check out the video after the break.
