Aigo, a manufacturer of tablets and MIDs has announced an addition to their lineup of Windows and Maemo devices: the AigoPad, a tablet/MID running Google’s Android OS.
According to Aido CEO Feng Jun the device has been confirmed for a 2010 launch, though he declined to specify official launch window.
I wouldn’t accept the above rendering as official as it looks like the status bar at the top was pulled from an iPod Touch and the ports look like they were Photoshopped from a MacBook Pro.
Regardless of the final design, competition among Android-based tablets will be heating up as it appears to be an OS ideally suited for this class of devices.
