When your company produces a solar-powered system designed specifically to power eReaders and a flexible e-paper display system, the world will not be all that surprised when you announce that you’re launching an eReader.
That’s exactly what LG‘s KW Him, head of LG’s Middle East and Africa Operations, has told Emirates Business and that the product may launch as soon as April (maybe) and that it “will compete with Apple and Amazon.”
Them’s fightin’ words!
I’m unsure exactly what that means, but at a minimum we can be sure it will be an eReader of sorts. Whether it goes as far as an iPad-like tablet computer remains to be seen.
