5-in-1 iPad Camera Connection Kit: This One Goes to Eleven

5-in-1 iPad Camera Connection KitApple’s own iPad Camera Connection Kit comes with two dongles to transfer your photos and videos using USB or an SD card. This one combines those capabilities into a single dongle and adds microSD support to boot. That’s nice and all, but neither compares to this over-engineered marvel.

3-in-1 iPad Camera Connection Kit: Because two dongles aren’t better than one

3-in-1 iPad Camera Dongle

I have the iPad Camera Connection Kit and like many of you, I was perplexed when the thing arrived with not one, but two separate dongles – one for connecting your camera via USB and the other for pulling photos and video off of SD cards. I carry them both, because I never know which one I’ll need at any given time.

The folks over at M.I.C. Gadget have introduced a 3-in-1 camera connection kit for iPad that makes it possible to carry only one dongle for all your photo-uploading needs. (Well, unless you use CompactFlash….)

Booq Boa Folio for iPad: A Worthy Upgrade

Booq Boa Folio for iPad - Front, OpenI’ve been using Apple’s own iPad Case almost since I received my Magical Tablet on April 3rd. I continue to use this case for a variety of reasons: it’s slim and form-fitting, providing almost no added bulk; it’s lightweight, and dirt and dust can be wiped off easily.

The other folio’s that I’ve explored or reviewed are all nice enough, but have a few flaws (at least for my needs). They provide extra padding for protection and even offer a few practical upgrades such as pockets, but generally they’re all very bulky. Many of them are also made of leather which increases the price dramatically or worse, the quality of the leather looks pretty cheesy. (The incase Convertible Book Jacket is a perfect example. The leather is nice, but it’s FAT.)

So, when Boa released their Booq Folio Case for iPad, I was naturally intrigued. It’s a functional replica of Apple’s own case, but with a few extra niceties.

Kensington PowerBack Battery Case with Kickstand and Dock

Philips Unveils Fidelio iPad Speaker Dock

Philips Fidelio iPad Speaker Dock DS8550Back in March I told you about a beautifully designed iPad speaker dock called Mantis from Vesta-Life which, at the time, seemed an unlikely product. I mean, iPhones and iPods are for music, not iPads, right? Apparently, wrong.

There’s a huge community of folks clambering for iPad speaker docks and Philips is looking to fill that void by expanding their Fidelio line of speaker docks to support iPads.

Griffin CinemaSeat for iPad Makes Family Road Trips More Pleasant

Griffin Technology CinemaSeat for iPadAre we there yet? Why is that man yelling? Can I have a drink? I have to go to the bathroom. What are those two dogs doing? How much longer until we get there?

If all that sounds familiar to you, then you’re probably a parent who’s been on a long drive with your offspring. While it’s great to spend time with the family, sometimes you just want a little quiet time during a long drive so you can focus on getting to your destination safely.

If  you don’t have one of those fancy (and expensive) entertainment systems in your car but you own an iPad, then the Griffin CinemaSeat may just help relieve you of some of the backseat chatter whilst you’re driving (I could have used one of these during our ten-hour drive to OBX for our family vacation…)
