Woodford Designs, “a design led technology accessory and software company” has created the world’s coolest fridge magnet. Using their appropriately named FridgePad, you can now mount your iPad on your refrigerator for handy use in your kitchen.
modulR is one of the more innovative companies to enter the iPad accessory space. As the name implies, each product builds upon another, starting with their case/cover. Once you’ve wrapped your precious iPad in that, you can add a desk stand, wall mount – even a car headrest mount, to keep the kids occupied.
Hypermac, the company that brought use the “world’s first” external batter charger for the iPad, has update their Micro and Mini line of external battery chargers to support the unique charging requirements of the iPad.
I’m excited by the fact that their entry-level and smaller-sized models now support the iPad. Why carry a 1.5 pound tablet and a 5 pound battery?
ClayWare Games, an iPhone and iPad app developer, has decided to get into the iPad accessories business.
The company has introduced a new accessory for the Apple iPad called the Pad Bracket.
One of my biggest pet peeves is having a dead battery when I need a gadget most. This mild obsession of mine has led me to purchase an external battery for my iPhone that I love – the Fastmac iV – but its USB port doesn’t charge my iPad. As you’ve probably learned, the iPad requires 10 Watts (2.1 Amps) of power in order to charge properly and many USB ports don’t suffice.

I’ve been wondering why someone would want the iPad Camera Connection Kit – the magical peripheral that enables you to upload photos directly to your magical tablet. After all, you could simply sync your iPad with your computer after you’ve moved your photos from your camera.
It was my wife who convinced me that this was a Good Thing to have for the iPad: snap photos at events or on vacation, offload them to your iPad and start viewing them (and sharing them) immediately on the iPad’s beautiful screen. Yeah, that makes sense to me.
However, it looks like I have even more reasons to get my hands on one of these.
Gravity Switch, a maker of kiosk enclosures for use in various retail and other public environments, has announced the iBracket Wall Mount.
Designed to turn your iPad into a wall-mounted kiosk, the aluminum enclosure allows your iPad to be mounted in both Landscape and Portait modes.
My iPad arrived on Launch Day and I didn’t have anything to protect and carry it. (At least not something that was designed for it, anyway.)
So, I visited my oft-neglected netbook (an Acer Aspire One A150 with an 8.9 inch display, 1.5 GB of RAM and a 9-cell battery) and stripped it naked of it’s neoprene sleeve – a Slipsuit Neoprene Sleeve Case from Mobile Edge.

You may have noticed that your USB port doesn’t always charge your iPad, or when it does, it charges very slowly.
Apple tells us why in their support docs: not all USB ports are created equal. Your USB port needs to pump out 2.1 AMPS in order to effectively charge your iPad.
So, that also means that not just any charger with USB sockets will necessarily charge your iPad.

I bought my iPad with the primary goal of combining the functions of my Kindle and my netbook in one device. So far, the iPad has filled the first need but the jury’s still out on the second as I’ve been waiting for the Apple iPad Keyboard Dock. I was thrilled when it finally arrived today and I couldn’t wait to unbox and review it.
