Yet another entrant into the race to turn your iPad into a laptop: this one from ZAGG – the company that makes the excellent InvisibleShield for iPhone and iPad.

Instead of simply creating a leather case like many of the iPad keyboard/case solutions,  ZAGG has gone to great lengths to create a product that looks like it was designed specifically for your iPad.

Waterfield Designs iPad Case Includes Space for Apple Bluetooth Keyboard

WaterField Designs iPad Wallet

Most of us use our iPads for media consumption, web surfing and reading eBooks but there are those of us who use them as netbook replacements. In many cases, this requires the inclusion of a keyboard – typically the Apple Bluetooth Keyboard.

The problem with most iPad cases is that the manufacturers don’t take this into account during the design process. That’s why I’ve always liked Waterfield Designs – their attention to detail.

Waterfield Designs’ new iPad Wallet has a dedicated space to hold your iPad, charger, cables and yes, space to hold your Apple Bluetooth Keyboard. It will even fit your iPad while it’s still in the Apple iPad Case.

The Waterfield Designs iPad Wallet is made from 6 different colors of ballistic nylon with distressed leather trim starting at $79. D-rings, straps and other goodies are also available for a few extra dollars. It’s available for pre-order now with and expected ship date of October 31.

Booq Boa Folio for iPad: A Worthy Upgrade

Booq Boa Folio for iPad - Front, OpenI’ve been using Apple’s own iPad Case almost since I received my Magical Tablet on April 3rd. I continue to use this case for a variety of reasons: it’s slim and form-fitting, providing almost no added bulk; it’s lightweight, and dirt and dust can be wiped off easily.

The other folio’s that I’ve explored or reviewed are all nice enough, but have a few flaws (at least for my needs). They provide extra padding for protection and even offer a few practical upgrades such as pockets, but generally they’re all very bulky. Many of them are also made of leather which increases the price dramatically or worse, the quality of the leather looks pretty cheesy. (The incase Convertible Book Jacket is a perfect example. The leather is nice, but it’s FAT.)

So, when Boa released their Booq Folio Case for iPad, I was naturally intrigued. It’s a functional replica of Apple’s own case, but with a few extra niceties.

Kensington PowerBack Battery Case with Kickstand and Dock

My iPad sips power so I’m generally not too worried about it shutting down unexpectedly. That said, if you rely on your iPad like do, it’s good to be prepared with an external battery for those times when you forget or your schedule may not allow you to charge your Magical Tablet.

Kensington has got you covered- literally – with their PowerBack Battery Case.

Griffin CinemaSeat for iPad Makes Family Road Trips More Pleasant

Griffin Technology CinemaSeat for iPadAre we there yet? Why is that man yelling? Can I have a drink? I have to go to the bathroom. What are those two dogs doing? How much longer until we get there?

If all that sounds familiar to you, then you’re probably a parent who’s been on a long drive with your offspring. While it’s great to spend time with the family, sometimes you just want a little quiet time during a long drive so you can focus on getting to your destination safely.

If  you don’t have one of those fancy (and expensive) entertainment systems in your car but you own an iPad, then the Griffin CinemaSeat may just help relieve you of some of the backseat chatter whilst you’re driving (I could have used one of these during our ten-hour drive to OBX for our family vacation…)

Review: REI Tech Wrap Laptop Sleeve for iPad

REI Tech Wrap Laptop Sleeve x-small BlackIn my quest for the perfect iPad gear bag, I stopped off at an REI retail location this weekend and discovered the REI Tech Wrap Laptop Sleeve. Keep in mind that my definition of “perfect” may be different than yours. I need something that can hold not only my iPad but also my Apple Bluetooth Keyboard, my Aluratek CDM530AM 3G WiFi hotspot and USB 3G dongle, my iPad power adapter and 30-pin dock cable, my notebook, my Livescribe Pulse smartpen and perhaps my Klipsch S4i headphones.

The sleeve comes in four sizes (Extra-Small, Small, Medium and Large) but since this was for an iPad, I immediately grabbed the Extra-Small model.

Review: Mobile Edge Slipsuit Neoprene Sleeve Case

Mobile Edge Slipsuite Neoprene Case with iPadMy iPad arrived on Launch Day and I didn’t have anything to protect and carry it. (At least not something that was designed for it, anyway.)

So, I visited my oft-neglected netbook (an Acer Aspire One A150 with an 8.9 inch display, 1.5 GB of RAM and a 9-cell battery) and stripped it naked of it’s neoprene sleeve – a Slipsuit Neoprene Sleeve Case from Mobile Edge.

Full review and photos after the jump.
