I don’t normally write about the average eReader here but this isn’t your average eReader. It’s the “World’s First” eReader with an E-ink display running Android. (Yes, you read that correctly.) Android 1.5 to be exact.

The hardware specs are what you might expect: 128MB NAND flash storage, E-ink display at 800 x 600 resolution with 16 levels of grayscale, and EPSON display controller and Wolfson Audio controller.

Bottom line: It’s promising, but obviously a work in progress. It may work perfectly fine as simply an eReader (FBReader looks great), but navigating the home screen and menus appears to be a painful task due to the refresh rate of the E-Ink screen.Video after the jump.
